Sales Education Foundation names University of Muenster in 2017 ANNUAL magazine “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education” Listing

Top Sales Programs are recognized for elevating the sales profession through university education

The Marketing Center Muenster announces their recognition by the Sales Education Foundation (SEF) as a “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education” program in their 2017 ANNUAL magazine. SEF recognizes the Marketing Center Muenster for preparing students for successful careers in professional selling and helping to elevate the sales profession. The SEF 2017 ANNUAL magazine, their 10th edition, will be available on their website, www.salesfoundation.org, by the end of April.

Master's thesis in business cooperation (Q4 2017)

The IfM assigns a master's thesis for the fourth quarter of 2017 in cooperation with "AMD-Netz". Interested and motivated master students are given the exciting opportunity of analyzing a large data set on the subject of patient care and can conduct research with practical relevance. Further information will be given during the informative meeting “Writing your theses at the MCM” on April 19th from 6 pm to 8 pm ULB Room 101.

Joe Hair increases FIT between Muenster and Structural Equation Modeling

Muenster’s marketing academics enjoyed a fully packed week of hard work and hard fun with “multivariate legend” Professor Dr. Joe F. Hair, who not only taught students on the intricacies of both structural equation modeling, but also gave interesting insights by reflecting on his long and successful academic career. Although Professor Hair could not fully hide his enthusiasm for partial least squares, he covered also the covariance-based approach of structural equation modeling in his course.

Prof. Rosanna Garcia (NCSU) visits the MCM from April 18 to May 5, 2017

Prof. Dr. Rosanna Garcia (NC State University)  is going to teach the course „Entrepreneurial Marketing“ while she is in Münster. Innovation and sustainability are two areas Dr. Rosanna Garcia is passionate about, especially when it comes to understanding how innovations gain traction and are accepted in the marketplace.  Among other topics and issues, she has looked at how sustainable innovations come to be embraced while others struggle for acceptance – in particular, electric vehicles, car sharing and alternative energy sources for the home.

The prestigious American Marketing Association holds the annual Summer AMA conference 2017 in San Francisco, California. For this distinguished conference, Dr. An-Kristin Kupfer serves as chair for the “Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Entertainment Marketing” track, together with Professor Dr. Natasha Foutz from the University of Virginia.

Centrum für interaktives Marketing erneut als Bronze Förderer bei der ProTalent-Stipendienfeier ausgezeichnet

Unter dem Titel „Nach den Sternen greifen“ fand am 26. Januar die ProTalent-Stipendienfeier in der Aula des Schosses statt. In seiner Begrüßungsrede gratulierte Professor Dr. Johannes Wessels als Rektor der WWU den 206 ProTalent-Stipendiaten, denen zum Wintersemester 2016/17 eine finanzielle Förderung durch das Stipendium gewährt werden konnte.

PD Dr. André Marchand folgt dem Ruf an die Universität zu Köln

PD Dr. André Marchand erhielt Rufe an die BI Oslo und Universität zu Köln. Er hat den Ruf an die Universität zu Köln auf eine W2-Professur für „Marketing & Digital Environment“ zum 1. Juni 2017 angenommen. Die Themenschwerpunkte der neuen Marketingprofessur in Forschung und Lehre werden Digitalisierung, neue Medien und Innovationen sein.
