SALTY Conference 2024 in Bremen
Also this year the academic family “SALTY“ of professor Sönke Albers (KLU) met to discuss the latest developments in Marketing. Following the invitation from Professor Kristina Klein, the SALTY conference took place in Bremen from September 22 to September 24, 2024.
The campus of the University of Bremen offered excellent surrounding conditions for the around 90 participants to discuss a wide range of topics. On the first day of the conference, PhD students and a Post-Doc presented their latest research findings, covering a diverse range of topics. Highlights included presentations on revenue retention rates, consumer behavior regarding movie release windows, and the impact of competition on firm behavior. The day culminated in a practice-oriented talk by McKinsey.
The second day featured notable presentations on topics such as AI-driven bargaining and consumer choice on digital platforms, providing valuable perspectives on current marketing challenges.
In addition to the tight presentation schedule, a colored supporting program encouraged the exchange between PhD students and professors. In this context, a city tour as well as a dinner together offered an excellent opportunity to get in touch with employees from other universities.
We would like to thank Prof. Klein and her team for the great time in Bremen and look forward to the SALTY Conference 2025!
