This course will take place in the first term of the winter semester. It consists of two parts: The lecture "Willkommen zur BWL" (Tuesday 16:15 - 17:45, H1) and the lecture "Was ist die BWL" (Monday 16:15 - 17:45, H1).

The course "The Theories of Business: The Pillars of Business Administration" is part of the module "Willkommen zur Betriebswirtschaftslehre! Grundlegende Theorien & ihre praktische Anwendung", which also includes the lecture "The Practices of Business: Learning from Leaders" and the exercises "You're the CEO NOW: How to Manage Your First Company" and "Applied Empirical Research". The following examination credits and credit points refer to the entire module and are not an individual performance of a single course.

Module Examination Credits: Written exam (75%) + written paper (25%).

Description

In the course "The Theories of Business: The Pillars of Business Administration" an overview of business administration and its main fields of action will be given and answers to questions central to the subject will be provided. Among other things, theoretical foundations are presented with regard to the business administration action areas of marketing, management (personnel & organization), financing and controlling, as well as other action areas of business management in digital times that are important for the course of study. 

The lecture "Welcome to Business Administration" serves as a content-related as well as organizational bracket for the various lectures and exercises of the module. In the context of the lecture, all dates and further organizational issues of the module are presented.
